Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH is living up to its reputation as a pioneer, and is the first hardware manufacturer to have its entire portfolio for aluminium Tilt&Turn windows with a Euro-groove Cradle to Cradle Certified®. The “Roto AL” and “Roto AL Designo” hardware product ranges, manufactured at the Velbert (Germany), Lövő (Hungary) and Tianjin (China) sites, have been awarded C2C Certified® Full Scope Bronze certification in accordance with Version 4.1.

Roto optimizes packaging: less waste, less effort
Roto Frank Roof System Technology has introduced new packaging solutions that are particularly safe, environmentally friendly, and customer-oriented. The roof window solutions manufacturer now uses molded fiber parts made from recycled paper, ensuring a secure fit of the Designo external roller shutter and the Designo external awning in the carton. In addition, a new stretch film is being used to transport goods in a resource- and eco-friendly way. Customers benefit from reduced effort in waste disposal.

Roto Relies on Solar Power – New Photovoltaic Systems in Velbert and Shanghai

Certified material quality for Deventer sealing profiles
Deventer Profile GmbH, a leading European supplier of TPE seals and a subsidiary of Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH, has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its sealing profiles made from TPE-S, TPE-V and flexible PVC, and has received an A+ rating for the VOC emissions of its products made from TPE-S, TPE-V, flexible PVC and silicone. These two forms of certification apply to all Deventer sites in Germany, the Netherlands and Poland.

The study “Best jobs with future prospects” was carried out by the Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung (German Institute for Management and Economic Research – IMWF) and Deutschland Test. They were looking for companies who act with sustainability in mind and who offer their staff a pleasant working environment. Around 12,000 companies were assessed. In the category “Suppliers of door and window technology”, Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH (Roto FTT) achieved a score of 100, the highest mark out of the nine companies evaluated from this sector.

The German Zinc Initiative (Initiative Zink), established in 1999, presents the Zinc Die-Cast Award in six categories every two years. On 16th May of this year, the automatic power wedge in the “Roto Safe A | Tandeo” mechanical-automatic multipoint lock came out on top in the Security & Locking Technology category.The Zinc Initiative (www.zink.de), based in Düsseldorf, brings together manufacturers and fabricators, as well as suppliers and recyclers.

The Roto production site in Kalsdorf plays a part in the transition to renewable energy sources
After a construction phase lasting around six months, the biomass heating plant of Roto Frank Austria GmbH was put into operation on 16th February of this year. The inauguration ceremony at the site spanning a total of 111,500 m2 in Kalsdorf, Austria, was held on 16th April. Managing Director of Roto Frank Austria, Christian Lazarevic, emphasises the importance of the installation: “The biomass plant represents technical progress but also embodies the responsibility we feel towards our environment. At the same time, it plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable power supply to our site and therefore contributes to the reliability that we can offer our customers.”
